Weltmer Joins Compliance First Banking Solutions Team
Please join us in welcoming Sarah Weltmer to the KBA-CFBS family! Sarah will be working with KBA member banks that have contracts for outsourced compliance assistance. With an impressive background rooted in community banking, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for compliance.
Hailing from Plainville, Sarah finds joy in family life, and with her husband, they love to spend time with their two daughters and their granddaughter. As they gear up for their daughter’s wedding, everyone is excited about adding a son-in-law to the family. Beyond family, she finds solace in the art of baking and cake decoration, believing that the way to anyone’s heart is through delicious desserts. With a robust 16 year journey in banking, including a decade as a dedicated Compliance Officer at First State Bank, Sarah thrives on challenges, particularly within the compliance landscape. She is dedicated to being a positive resource and pillar of support for fellow bank employees, embodying the spirit of collaboration. Let’s extend a warm welcome to Sarah as she embarks on this exciting new chapter with us!
Sarah is stepping into the CFBS program due to the departure of Erica Friedt. Erica spearheaded the development of KBA’s outsourced compliance program and has accepted a new challenge in her career as a Compliance Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Her last day with the KBA was Sept. 8, 2023.
