16 Leading advocate for the banking industry in Kansas. C I TIZENS BANK OF KANSAS DONATED NEARLY $4,000 worth of peanut butter to local food pantries during the holidays - half from customers, with a matching amount from the Bank. “The response to our “Spread” the Holiday Cheer with Citizens Bank of Kansas campaign was overwhelming,” said Mark Keeny, CEO. “Our customers responded even beyond our imagination. We even had non-customers come to the Bank just to make their donations of peanut butter. It was really a great display of people helping people in need, and we’re proud to have helped make that possible,” Keeny said. The campaign ran from December 9 through 30, 2011, with containers of peanut butter donated at all of Citizens Bank of Kansas eight branches – Kingman, Winfield, Medicine Lodge, Isabel, Turon, Pretty Prairie, East Wichita and West Wichita. The Bank matched all do- nations of peanut but ter collected, and delivered to area food pantries. Citizens Bank of Kansas, N.A., which has banking facilities throughout south central Kansas, has a strong tradition of community service. The Bank takes pride in being the family-owned neighborhood bank for its customers for four generations.
