22 l e a d i n g a d v o c a t e f o r t h e b a n k i n g i n d u s t r y i n k a n s a s Kansas and Nebraska Bankers Associations Award Scholarships T he Kansas and Nebraska Bankers Associations in conjunction with the Schools of Banking have awarded a scholarship. The recipient is a graduate of the Schools of Banking’s School of Banking Fundamentals and was selected based upon class involvement, demonstrated leadership abilities, final examination scores and scholarship interest. The recipient will receive a $350 discount off of the fees for each year of attendance at the two-year Schools of Banking Advanced School of Banking for a total award of $700. The 2012 Scholarship recipient is: Bryant W. Derley, Lyndon State Bank – Lyndon, Kansas Bryant is an agricultural/consumer loan officer for Lyndon State Bank. He joined the bank in September of 2009. Bryant earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Ottawa University. His responsibilities include agricultural and consumer lending, performing quarterly reports on statements of condition for the bank, and assisting in the management of ALLL. He also serves on the bank’s ALCO, Audit, IT, and other compliance committees. In ad - dition, Bryant is assisting the local high school and middle school as an assistant coach for various athletic programs.
