She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Denise will begin her studies at the 2013 session of the Graduate School. Prochnow Educational Foundation Scholarship LUKE MOORE, Pony Express Community Bank, Horton Luke is assistant vice president and branch manager at Pony Express Community Bank in Horton. He started out at the bank’s St. Joseph location in 2004, then moved to Lucas in 2009 and relocated to the Horton location two years ago. Luke attended Highland Community College and Kansas State University where he obtained a degree in Ag Economics. He is a member of the Young Bank Officers of Kansas, served on KBA’s Lending Committee and was in the Bank Leaders of Kansas class of 2012. Luke will attend the 2013 session of the Graduate School of Banking this summer. Graduate School of Banking at Colorado Future Leader Scholarship DEREK BAILEY, Lawrence Bank, Lawrence Derek is vice president at Lawrence Bank where he has worked since 2006. He is responsible for originating and servicing a wide variety of business and individual loans and for developing and cultivating customer relationships. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from the University of Kansas and has earned several AIB diplomas. He is a member of the Young Bank Officers of Kansas and a graduate of the Leadership Lawrence program. Derek will attend the 2013 session of the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado this summer. SIX KANSAS BANKERS RECEIVE BANKING SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS Prochnow Educational Foundation State School Scholarship STEVEN SUELLENTROP, Legacy Bank, Wichita Steven is a Branch Manager and Consumer Loan Officer with Legacy Bank in Wichita, where he is responsible for daily branch operations as well as assisting in the expansion of Legacy Bank’s consumer lending portfolio. In 2007, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics from Kansas State University and is also a graduate of the KBA/NBA Schools of Banking School of Banking Fundamentals . Steven will attend the 2013 session of the Graduate School of Banking this summer.
