Congressman Tim Huelskamp, (R) 1st Congressio - nal District provided information on the sequestration. Doug Wareham, KBA SVP Government Relations, gave an overview of the 2013 legislative session. KBA Chairman-elect Leonard Wolfe, United Bank & Trust, Marysville, and KBA Chairman Frank Carson, Carson Bank, Mulvane, participated in the YBOK conference. The Banker Panel from Left to right included Brandon Vering,Citizens National Bank, Greenleaf; Doug Springer, Kansas State Bank of Manhattan; Lance White, First National Bank, Wamego; and Michael Needham, First Security Bank, Paola. David Kemp drilled down the significance of being curious enough to take a risk without knowing exactly where it will take you. Mark Mayfield reduced stress and drew laughter from the crowd as he described the “mouths and jerks” in our lives.
