Day has been with the bank for 15 years and has served the past two years as executive vice president and senior loan officer in ag lending. He was named a bank director in January. Day replaces Dean Tuley, who served as bank president for the past 10 years and now serves as vice chairman of the board and chief lending officer.   The Board of Directors of Citizens Bank of Kansas, N.A., has elected Jane Deter- ding to serve as Chairman of the Board. She replaces her mother, Shirley Deterd- ing, who stepped down, but will continue to serve on the Board as Chairman Emer- itus. Jane is a graduate of Wichita State University Business School and received a law degree from the University of Kansas. After a decade of private practice in busi- ness and commercial law, she joined the bank full-time in 2001 as the bank’s General Counsel and Executive Vice President. She lives with her husband, Brent Lehner, in western Sedgwick County. Mark Keeny was named as CEO of Citizens Bank of Kansas, N.A. Mark is a graduate of the University of Kansas and the Graduate School of Banking. He joined the bank in 1993 after five years as a bank examiner for the Office of the State Bank Commissioner. Keeny became President of the bank in 2002 and CEO in 2009. He and his wife, Amy Deterding Keeny, live in Kingman. Douglas County Bank is proud to wel- come Sharon Spratt as a member of the Douglas County Bank Board of Directors. Mrs. Spratt currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Cottonwood, Inc. Mrs. Spratt holds a B.S. in education from Kansas State University and has complet- ed graduate courses at the University of South Florida, Fort Hays State University and the University of Kansas. UMB Bank, n.a., a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: UMBF), is pleased to announce Wayne Basso has been promoted to president of UMB’s eastern Kansas region. Prior to this role, Wayne served as UMB’s community bank president of Topeka for six years. He will continue in that role, in addition to president of the eastern Kansas region.  Kendall State Bank’s President/CEO, Jayne Coleman, announces the elec- tion of Patricia K. Lederer as the new director to the bank’s board following the May 5, 2013 Board of Directors Meeting. Lederer, a Valley Falls native and a 1974 graduate of Valley Falls High School, began working at Kendall State Bank on a work study program while a senior in high school. She now has 27 years in banking, two of which were spent managing the Topeka Post Office Credit Union, and this year she is celebrating her 25th year with Kendall State Bank. Pat currently is the Vice President of Bank Operations and Information Technology Systems. Montezuma State Bank has promoted Mi- chael Miller to President.  Mike has been Senior VP and Branch Manager of the Bank’s Copeland Branch for several years. Mr. Miller is replacing Ty Hedlund, who is stepping down as President and CEO but will remain Chairman of the Board. Chris Spellman , Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Morrill & Janes Bank, received the 2013 Dis - tinguished Service Award at the Ameri- can Bankers Association’s 27th Annual Regulatory Compliance Conference in Chicago on June 10th.
