He has served on the KBA Board twice before from 1995- 1997 and again 2009-2011. Kelly has also served on the Education Committee. He is married to Barbara and has two adult children, Danny and Sarah. Kurt Knutson- Region 1 Representative Chairman, CEO and President of Freedom Bank, Overland Park Kurt earned his B.B.A. degree at the University of Iowa. He has served on the KBA State Affairs Com- mittee and was appointed by Governor Brownback to serve on the State Banking Board in 2011. He was elected Chairman of the State Banking Board in 2013 and has been appointed to a second term which expires in 2016. Kurt is married to Leanne and has two teenage children, Katie and Jack. Kelly Linnens- Region 2 Representative VP/ Cashier of Cottonwood Valley Bank, Florence Kelly earned his degree in business administration from Friends University. He has served on the Friends University Board of Trustees since 2005 and is cur- rently serving as Vice Chair of the Board. He serves on the KBA State Affairs Committee and was in the inaugural Bank Leaders of Kansas class in 2006. Kelly served on the Community Bankers Services Board from 2008-2013. He is married to Julie and has two children, Callie and Carson. Lynn Mayer- Region 3 Representative CEO of Citizens State Bank of Marysville Lynn graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in business and finance and is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. He has served on the KBA’s Ag & Rural Development Committee. His hobbies include golf and travel. Lynn is married to Jerri and has two children, Kelsie and Gannon. Eric Kurtz- Region 4 Representative President of Union State Bank, Arkansas City Eric earned his B.B.A. from Southwestern College and continued his education at The Graduate School of Banking at The University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he finished in the top 10% of his class. He is very involved in his community where he has served as President of the Baseball Booster Club, United Way Drive Chair among others. Eric is married to Christy and has two children, Kasha and Candice. Machelle Connally-Van Trump Region 5 Representative EVP/ Chief Lending Officer of Citizens State Bank & Trust Co., Ellsworth Machelle earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fort Hays State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. She was in the 2008 Bank Leaders of Kansas class, has served on the KBA Lending Committee, and is a member of Young Bank Officers of Kansas. Machelle hopes to continue to be the best banker she can be as she advocates for all community banks. She is married to Randy and has three children, Madison, Halle and Jackson. Mark Schepers- Region 6 Representative President & CEO of The Community Bank, Liberal Mark graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in economics and political science. He has also earned an advanced degree from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Mark has served on the Heritage Community Foundation, local school site councils and is currently the Chairman/Trustee of the Southwest Medical Center. Mark is married to Kathy and has two children, Hilary and Josh, as well as a daughter in-law, Ofelia. Kyle Campbell- At Large Representative President & CEO of Astra Bank, Abilene Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engi- neering from Kansas State University and an M.B.A. from Rockhurst University before attending the Grad- uate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He has served on the KBA State Affairs Committee and enjoys flying and spending time with his family. Kyle is married to Kendra and has four children, Edith, Lela, Warren and Margaret. Jarrod Rowland- KBA Young Bank Officers of Kansas Division President Executive Vice President of Alden State Bank, Sterling Jarrod earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Kansas State University and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. He serves as the President of the Young Bank Officers of Kansas and is a member of the KBA Education Committee. Outside of the KBA, Jarrod has served on the Board and as President of the Golden Belt Bankers Association. He is married to Christina and has two small children, Lacey and Lauren.
