Paul Reymann, CSI James Harris, Compliance Advisory Services 2014 BANK TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE & SHOWCASE T HE 2014 KBA TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE is the annual event to attend when you want to see the newest cyber programs and talk to the most relevant vendors in banking today. The Technology Conference offered nineteen educational sessions and powerful peer group discussions that were very well attended. There was also a sold-out trade show with 55 exhibitors ready to demonstrate a multitude of products for the industry. Conference participants were afforded numerous opportunities to interact with showcase exhibitors throughout the course of the conference making them eligible for prizes. The two day conference opened up with early bird concurrent sessions that had many people trying to decide which ones they were willing to miss. With so many exceptional offerings over the two day period, several banks brought multiple staff members to capture as much information as possible. Numerous breakout sessions were conducted by technology- related companies on such topics as social media, cloud computing, communications, vendor management, technology investment and utilization, ERM, mobile banking, IT exams, virtualization, core systems, SharePoint and ATM tellers. Sam Kilmer, Cornerstone Advisors, presented the opening general session titled “Technology Delivery and the Community Bank Customer Experience.” As the customer experience is increasingly defined by mobile and online banking, the industry is shifting from single focus on core operations to strategic planning and delivery.
