The bank and the board of directors were awarded a certificate for the bank’s 150 years of distinguished service and contri- butions to its community. The Office of Comptroller of the Currency is an independent bureau within the United States Department of the Treasury. The Bennington State Bank (BSB) Board of Directors made the following announcements at their Annual Stockholders Meeting. Burke Matthews has been promoted to President. Matthews has been in banking for over 35 years and has been with BSB in Salina since 1980. Matthews has a B.S. degree from Wash- burn University. He has also completed the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Matthews replaces Dennis Lull, who will now be serving as President-Emeritus as he phases into semi-retirement. Lull will continue to be available to custom- ers, Tuesday thru Thursday, at BSB’s S. Ohio location. Clark Renfro has been promoted to Executive Vice President. Renfro has been with BSB for 4 years and has over 18 years experience in banking. Renfro received his B.S. degree from Kansas State University and his M.S. degree from the Universi- ty of Colorado. Darren Gragg has been promoted to Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and has also been elected to the Exec - utive Committee. Gragg has over 10 years experience at BSB. Gragg recently completed the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Kory Tinkler was promoted to Sr. Vice President, and has also been elected to Executive Committee. He has served over 14 years with BSB. Tinkler received his B.S. degree from Kansas State University. He has also completed the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Mark Bacon was promoted to Sr. Vice President, and has also been elected to Executive Committee. Bacon is based in Ben- nington and has been with BSB for 15 years. Bacon has a B.S. degree from Kansas State University. Mike Benjamin was promoted to Sr. Vice President. He has over 20 years of experience with BSB. Benjamin graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Wisconsin in 1995. Rod George was named Sr. Vice President. George currently oversees the BSB branch in Wamego, KS. George received his B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University, and his MBA from Phillips University in Enid, OK. Kelsey Ward was promoted to Assistant Vice President/Com- pliance Officer. Ward has been at BSB since 2011and she is based in Salina on S. Ohio St. Ward has a B.S. degree from Kansas State University. Cade Rensink was promoted to Assistant Vice President. Rensink has been with BSB for two years and is based at the Minneapolis branch. Rensink has a B.S. and M.S degree both from Kansas State University. At the annual stockholders meeting Alex Berkley was elected as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has over 20 years of experience in international business prior to joining BSB. Berkley received a B.S. degree from the University of Kansas, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. Don Lamb, Vice President, was elected to the Board of Direc- tors and added to the Executive Committee. He has over 35 years of experience in banking. Lamb received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. Susan Young, Vice President, was elected to the Board of Di- rectors. She has over 18 years of experience in banking. Young holds a B.S. degree from Kansas Wesleyan University. Mike Berkley remains Chairman of the Board.
