We have started that process facilitated by Derrick Nielson with Allen, Gibbs & Houlik. Again this year we sent our surveys for CEOs to fill out in order for us to assess our strengths and weaknesses with you, our owners and members. I want to thank each banker who took the time to fill out the survey. The next step will be to compile the results of those surveys. We will have a retreat with a Task Force of the KBA Board of Directors to determine the strategic direction of the KBA for the next three years. We at the KBA take this process, especially the results of the survey, very seriously. We value the opinions and comments of Kansas bankers. This process is always guided by our mission statement – The KBA exists “to support and assist Kansas banks and Kansas bankers.” Everything we do is guided by that principle, from government relations to educational seminars and conferences to the KBA Legal Department and the KBA Consulting Service to KBA Insurance. The strategic planning process is always exciting as we look ahead to seek new ways to “help and assist” Kansas banks and Kansas bankers. Chuck Stones Chuck Stones Kansas Bankers Association
