In her new role, Johnson is responsible for leading the treasury management sales teams in Oklahoma and Kansas, enriching the sales process with product innovation and building brand awareness. Johnson has more than eight years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry. Prior to her new role as senior vice president, she served as senior vice president of cash management at Coppermark Bank, which merged with Prosperity Bank last year, in Oklahoma City. “Angie has shown great strength in her leadership skills throughout her career,” said Paul Jarrett, director of International Services and Sales. “She will play an integral role in growing our treasury management division and we look forward to her leadership in this new position.” Johnson attended Oklahoma State University and University of Colorado – Boulder. She is an active member of her community serving on multiple boards including; the Board of Directors for the Edmond Chamber of Commerce, Chairman for the Oklahoma Young Professional Leaders, and Oklahoma State University SSB Alumni Board. KBA Presents Donation to ABA’s National Bank PAC KBA Chairman Kelly Mason, First National Bank in Pratt and Doug Wareham, KBA’s EVP-Government Relations recently presented a $5,000 contribution from Kansas bankers to ABA’s National BankPAC while attending ABA’s Summer Leadership Meeting held recently in Denver, Colorado. Receiving the contribution on behalf of ABA are ABA Chairman of the Board Jeff Plagge and Wesley Hoskins, Chairman of ABA’s National BankPAC Committee. The $5,000 contribution brings the calendar year total support for pro-banking federal legislative candidates to $36,000.00. Special thanks to each and every Kansas banker that supports KBA’s BankPAC. Kansas Banker Named GSBC Chair Mike Stevens has been appointed chair of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC) for its 2014-2015 academic year. He is chief executive officer and chairman of Centera Bank, Sublette, Kan., where he has been employed for 36 years. As a long-time community banker in Kansas, one of GSBC’s strongest supporting states, Stevens is well equipped to advise the school, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. Stevens has lead the Kansas banking community in many capacities throughout his career, serving as chairman of both the Kansas Bankers Association (KBA) and the KBA’s Federal Affairs Committee. He has also served on numerous boards including the KBA Board of Directors, Schools of Banking Board of Directors and the Kansas Banking Board. “We’re excited to have Mike guide the GSBC Board of Trustees in 2015,” said GSBC President Tim Koch. “His guidance and knowledge is invaluable to GSBC as we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the nation’s community banks.” Stevens is a 1981 graduate of GSBC, and a 1977 graduate of the University of Kansas. He is supported in his new role by his wife Risa, a lifelong educator. They have six children and nine grandchildren.
