Lujano joined Midland National Bank in November 2012 with over seven years of banking experience in Newton and Wichita. He is involved with all areas of lending, with an emphasis on Consumer and Small Business loans. “With Blake’s banking experience, knowledge of the Newton community, and passion for excellence in customer service, he is a true asset of Midland National Bank and a good fit for our community bank mission.” said Ron Lang, Bank President. Blake is a life-long Newton resident and a graduate of Newton High School. He is involved with Newton Young Professionals, Ducks Unlimited and the Jayhawk Retrievers Club. He is also an active Newton Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Katie, and two children. Sunflower Bank Hires New Market President Sunflower Bank has hired Aaron Mayfield to the position of Market President for McPherson, Kansas. Mayfield possesses over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently as Vice President and Bank of the West. Prior to that, he managed branches for Commerce Bank where he received several honors for his ability to serve customers and coach his team. Elizabeth Clark Moyer, 69, Alta Vis- ta, Kansas, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Liz spent most of her adult life working at the Alta Vista State Bank, which has been in her family since 1932. She started as a teller and grew to become President and owner of the bank. Some of her most fond mem- ories of the bank involved working with her father and later her daughter. Alvin “Gene” Bihlmaier, 87, Osborne, Kansas, passed away on May 8, 2015, from health complications. Gene was an owner of the Farmers Bank of Osborne, formerly Farmers National Bank. He took great pride in the growth of the bank over the years but he took greater satis- faction in the bank’s ability to continue to serve area clients, many of whom are second, third and fourth generation members of families that Gene served since the 1950’s. Gene was actively working in his offices in both Osborne and Smith Center until his recent hospitalization, providing service and counsel to his many clients, as he had since April 11, 1955.
