Tommy also brings banking experience and entrepreneurial experience to his new lending role in Medicine Lodge. In addition to agriculture and commercial lending, Tommy has experience with oil & gas and small business start-ups. Tommy and Erica have a 20-month old son Hayden, and live near Hardtner. Verus Bank, Derby Announces Following Promotions Tammy Coughlin – Assistant Vice President, started her employment with Verus Bank in 2009. Tammy has served as a Personal Banking Officer making considerable day- to-day contributions to the bank at the Rock Road location. In addition, Tammy has been instrumental in the formation, development, growth, and overall success of Verus Bank’s High School student branch. She has formed meaningful relationships while at the school and also in the Derby community with the generous giving of her time. Brock Stuhlsatz – Assistant Vice President, began his employment with Verus bank in 2007. Brock has worked in several capacities at Verus Bank, and has more recently focused his development in the commercial/real estate lending areas. Brock has been recognized from among his peers with awards and recognitions from the Young Bank Officers of Kansas and Advanced School of Banking programs and will attend the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado during 2016. Rob Drury, Market President, Exchange National Bank & Trust will retire after 40 years in the industry. Rob started his banking career with Exchange Bank Corporation at Farmers & Merchants State Bank in Cawker City, Kansas back in 1974. From there he went to Farmers State Bank in Corning, Kansas. He left the Exchange Bank family briefly in 1985 to work for Farmers National Bank in Osborne, Kansas. He returned to ENB in 1987 and worked at Fort National Bank in Easton until 1992. He then worked for First National Bank & Trust in Leavenworth. From 2011 until the end of 2015, Rob worked at ENB’s Lansing location. There he served the Leavenworth and Lansing, Kansas area as Market President. (Now Rick Schneider will take over that role.) Over the years, Rob has earned many well deserved accolades from employees and customers. CEO Rich Dickason said, “Rob is the type of leader who never demands more of others than he is willing to give. In his business and personal life, Rob is dedicated, loyal, trustworthy, committed, and thoughtful. Many employees have felt appreciated by one of his inspirational cards.” Marketing Vice President Ginger Hunninghake agrees. “We are grateful for Rob’s encouragement and inspiration to others over the years,” Ginger said. Rob has greatly enjoyed his years at ENB and now looks forward to some much deserved free time. Rob and his wife, Jeanette, plan to spend it on their 40 acre farm in Jefferson County. Bank of Hays Announces Staff Promotions Brandon Prough, Senior Vice President, has been named Chief Lending Officer for the bank. Born in Liberal and raised in Ulysses, he moved to Hays and finished high school at Hays High. A graduate of Fort Hays State University with a degree in Agri-business, Prough joined Bank of Hays in 2011 after 20 years in lending services with various agencies within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, including Farmers Home Administration, Farm Service Agency and Rural Development. He is chair of the Heartland Community Foundation, a member of Tiger Club, and serves as treasurer for Westview Church. He and his wife, Shaina, have three children: Madison, 17; Cassidy, 14; and Brian, 6. Michelle Rounsley, Vice President, was promoted to Executive Assistant. Beginning her banking career as a student employee in high school, she went on to serve in other banking positions, including branch manager, before joining Bank of Hays in 2006. She prepares for audits/exams, Board of Directors meetings and other administrative duties. She is a member and secretary of the bank’s Leadership Committee. Born and raised in Goodland, she attended Northwest Kansas Technical School and Fort Hays State University. She is co-president of TMP Parent, Teacher and Friends and is a member of St. Joseph’s Church. She and her husband, Kim, have a son, Garret. Laurel Klaus, New Accounts Representative, has been named Assistant Vice President. She joined Bank of Hays in 2013 after serving as Personal Banker at JP Morgan Chase Bank in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in Claflin, she moved to Hays in 2006 to attend Fort Hays State University. She has a three-year-old son, Carter, and she is married to Austin Klaus of Hays. The family attends St. Nicholas of Myra Church. Continued on page 22
