While the option is always available to obtain these services from your county treasurer’s office, the KBA wanted to be sure all auto lenders were aware of this same day and/or 24 hour state-wide service. Using KVTSC services is effectively the same as taking your title work to the Division of Vehicles in Topeka prior to 2016. If your bank has an automobile dealer license, you already have access to KVTSC. For those banks not licensed, but desiring to use the KVTSC services, access must be through a title service company. The fees charged by KVTSC include the fees set by statute that continue to go to the State of Kansas. KVTSC will also charge an additional fee to cover the cost of processing the title work. T HE DEPARTMENT OF Revenue, Division of Vehicles discontinued its front counter walk- in and batch drop-off title services at the end of 2015, and outsourced these services to the newly formed Kansas Vehicle Title Services Company, LLC (KVTSC) as of January 19, 2016. KVTSC was formed by the Kansas Automobile Dealers Association to provide the same services formerly provided by the Division of Vehicles, which include processing E-Titles, Duplicate Titles, Title Onlys and Salvage Titles for licensed entities. The staff at KVTSC consist of previous state and county employees familiar with the titling services and is committed to providing same day and/or 24 hour turnaround time for printed titles.
