Ron is married to Debra and they have two adult children, Christopher and Jeffrey. He enjoys golfing and traveling. A stated goal and vision for Wente is to develop young bankers to thrive in the banking industry so he can spend more time with his grandchildren. REGION 3 REPRESENTATIVE Alex Williams is the President & CEO of Halstead Bank in Halstead. He began working for the bank in 2001 and was appointed to his current position in 2004. Prior to working in the family bank, Williams served as a legislative assistant for Senator Pat Roberts in Washington, DC. Education has been a priority for him as he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Kansas State University and a Master’s Degree in Economic History from London School of Economics before attending the Graduate School of Banking in Madison. He has served on the KBA Federal Affairs Committee since 2011 as the President of the Young Bank Officers of Kansas (YBOK) and he is a 2006 BLOK Graduate. Williams has served his community by serving as a board member on the Kansas Council on Economic Education as well as a committee member for the Kansas State University Economic Advisory Committee. He and his wife, Kristin, have 2 children, Annie (6) and Lillian (4). Williams enjoys running and golfing when he isn’t engaged in activities at the bank. AT-LARGE REPRESENTATIVE Mike Beck serves as SVP at KS StateBank in Manhattan but he offices in Overland Park. He has worked in various capacities over the years including: U.S. Bank, Commerce Bank, UMB Bank, INTRUST Bank and Trego- Wakeeney. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University. He has served the banking industry with membership on the KBA Education Committee and the State Affairs Committee. He has served his community on the Kansas State Alumni Board, the Old Mission United Methodist Church Finance Committee and on the Shawnee Mission East High School All Sports Booster Board. Mike is married to Shannon and they have three children: Brooklyn (14), Sydney (12) and Will (9). Beck is a sports enthusiast and loves traveling. He feels that it is always an honor to serve his peers in the banking industry. YOUNG BANK OFFICERS OF KANSAS (YBOK) DIVISION PRESIDENT John Kilroy serves as Vice President for UMB Bank in Kansas City. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology at the University of Kansas and an MBA in Finance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. John has served on the KBA Bank Management Committee and is a 2012 graduate of the KBA Bank Leaders of Kansas Class. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children: Jack (8), Michael (7) and Lucy (5). His hobbies include activities with his children to include sports and tea parties as well as taking in a game of the Jayhawks, Royals or Chiefs. John’s primary goal is to continue to grow YBOK’s membership base and increase YBOK’s value to the KBA. KBA TRUST DIVISION PRESIDENT Julie Dalton serves as SVP & Trust Officer and the Trust Department Manager for Southwest National Bank in Wichita. She is a certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and graduated Cannon Trust School as an Honor Graduate. Dalton has served on the KBA Trust Division Board since 2011. She and her husband, Greg, have three adult children: Matt, Chris and Katie, and three granddaughters. Dalton is very active in Boy Scouts of America serving as Council President for Quivira Council and Venturing Advisor for Central Region Area S. She also enjoys knitting and sewing for relaxation. Her goal as division president is to continue the history of providing a great Trust Conference and to be a resource for members. KANSAS AG BANKERS (KAB) DIVISION PRESIDENT Marvin Anliker is the Market President at American State Bank & Trust Co. in Garden City where he has been employed since 2009. He has banking history dating back to 1991. Anliker earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ag Economics from Kansas State University and completed the Advanced School of Banking through the KS/Neb Schools of Banking. He has served his community on the Ogallah Aquifer Advisory Committee. Marvin and his wife, Jeana, have three adult children: Marshall (Lauren) Anliker, Rebekah (Jason) Williams, and Rachel Anliker. Anliker enjoys outdoor activities, family, travel and history. He intends to attend one of the Graduate Schools of Banking in the near future.
