STAFFORD TO ADVISORY BOARD OF DIRECTORS Wichita businessman Chad Stafford has been selected as the newest member of the Rose Hill Bank Advisory Board. The announcement was made recently by Rose Hill Bank President and CEO Roger Kepley. Mr. Stafford is President of Occidental Management, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate development, brokerage and property management firm based in Wichita. In addition to representing more than a dozen local properties including several high-end retail centers, Wichita’s Union Station, and the Historic Delano Shopping District, Mr. Stafford’s Occidental team is currently converting the massive Overland Park Xchange facility near Kansas City into high-tech office space. Mr. Stafford’s record of professional and community service reflects positions on a variety of boards and committees including currently as Operations Chairman for the Kansas and Missouri chapter of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Wichita Independent Business Association (WIBA) and a member of WIBA’s Economic Development Committee. As a member of the Rose Hill Bank Advisory Board, Mr. Stafford will not only function as a vital link between the bank and the community, but will also help bring a fresh perspective to the strategic direction of the bank. KNACKSTEDT CELEBRATES 30 YEARS AT CBK Finding long-term employees can sometimes be a challenge. Not so with the President of Citizens Bank of Kansas. Dennis Knackstedt celebrates 30 years with the Bank on August 1, 2016. Knackstedt moved to Atlanta, Kansas, in the heat of the summer of 1986, and joined then Citizens State Bank. He brought with him a college degree from K-State, a few years of banking experience, and a new bride. It was a brave move for the Russell native, but it all worked out. Dennis and Beth Knackstedt celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary earlier this year, too. They have two daughters, Elsa and Anna, who also work in banking. “I guess no one plans to stay at one job this long, but it doesn't seem like 'work' most days, just helping out your friends and neighbors," said Knackstedt. "If there's a better way to spend your workday, I don't know what it is." “Dennis has seen so much in the banking industry during his tenure, and helped all of us navigate the changing waters,” said Mark Keeny, CEO of Citizens Bank of Kansas. “He has truly been the calm and steady force through it all.” “I remember meeting Dennis and Beth for the first time at a bankers’ meeting in Colorado. My dad (Max Deterding) had plans for Dennis to open the branch in Winfield. I’m not sure Dennis was in on that plan yet,” said Jane Deterding, now Chairman of Citizens Bank of Kansas Board of Directors. “Dennis worked very hard to get Winfield up and running. He has worked hard on many projects in the last 30 years; we’re very lucky to have him,” Deterding said. Another 30-year employee, Koreen Bartel, quietly celebrated 30 years with the Bank on May 27, 2016. She is Loan Assistant to Knackstedt. “Dennis and I have worked together these 30 years doing whatever we could to help our customers. We have challenged each other and I have learned a lot from him,” she said. The Board of Directors of BANK VI, is pleased to an- nounce the following promotions within the bank: Chris Baker, to Executive Vice President, Senior Lender Beth Webster, to Senior Vice President, CFO, and Human Resources Amy Hilt, to Vice President, Retail Banking Strategies Alice Gruber, to Assistant Vice President, Credit Analyst, Agricultural Loans Kevin McElwee, to Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Salina East Office
