He previously served as the 2008-09 Chairman of the Missouri Bankers Association. He has also been an active member of the American Bankers Association (ABA), having served on the ABAAccounting Committee, the ABA Community Bankers Council, the ABAMembership Committee and the ABA Government Relations Council Administrative Committee. LARRY BRITEGAM JOINS ROSE HILL BANK IN NEW ROLE Longtime Salina banker Larry Britegam will join Rose Hill Bank in the newly created position of executive vice president and chief administrative officer. The recent announcement was made by Donald R. LacKamp, president and CEO of American State Bancshares, Rose Hill Bank’s parent company. A Salina native with a BA in Business/Finance/Accounting from Marymount College, Mr. Britegam has spent nearly four decades in banking in the Salina community, most notably as president of Sunflower Bank (Salina) and chief strategy officer at Bennington State Bank. Throughout his career he has been active in the community, both locally and throughout the state of Kansas, serving as a member and officer in numerous organizations. His extensive record of community involvement includes the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, Greater Salina Community Foundation, Kansas Wesleyan University Board of Trustees, Youth Sports Initiative, Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors, Salina Area United Way, St. John’s Military School, and the Salina Regional Health Center Board of Trustees, among others. Mr. Britegam is a strong proponent of the $150 million downtown revitalization program and is a part of Salina 2020 Inc. In his new role at Rose Hill Bank, Mr. Britegam will be responsible for operations, finance, retail banking, credit administration, marketing and human resources. He will maintain offices in both Salina and Wichita. “The post of CAO is a newly created position that will enable Rose Hill Bank to continue to grow and prosper in the coming years,” said Mr. LacKamp. Mr. Britegam’s addition to the bank’s administrative team comes in the wake of the election this summer of Cuy D. Mauck as Rose Hill Bank President and CEO, succeeding Roger Kepley who will retire in January. “As anyone who knows Larry will tell you, he is a remarkable individual and a highly respected banker,” said Mr. Kepley. “Rose Hill Bank is extremely fortunate to have him on our team.” FHSU COLLEGE NAMED IN HONOR OF W.R. AND YVONNE ROBBINS The Kansas Board of Regents today approved naming Fort Hays State University’s College of Business and Entrepreneurship the W.R. and Yvonne Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship. In addition, a section of the building will be named the Robbins Banking Institute. Robbins, an alumnus from Fort Hays State University, and his wife, Yvonne, are longtime, devoted supporters of the university. He is chair of Farmers Bank and Trust, Great Bend, which owns and manages seven locations in central Kansas and two in Johnson County. Business can be complicated. Make it a little less taxing.
