Although Frank grew up in his family’s bank, he started his banking career there, in 1973, as a teller. He earned an Associate’s degree from St. Gregory’s College and is also a graduate of The Graduate School of Banking in Madison. Suellentrop has been active in the KBA with service on the the Federal Affairs Committee and with past membership on the board for the Hodge & Porter agency when it was first purchased by the KBA. He has served the banking industry by serving as the Chairman of the Community Bankers Association (CBA) and he served on the board of directors for the ICBA. Suellentrop has been active in his community by serving on the Colwich City Council and on the Wichita Chamber. He is currently involved in the Air Force Honorary Commander Program which maintains personal contact with local civic leaders to increase public awareness of missions. Suellentrop also serves on the Friends of McConnell board. Suellentrop and his wife, Laura, live in Wichita and have four adult children, Kathy, Julie, Steven, and Kevin. He hopes to use his years of banking experience to contribute to the KBA and the industry. Frank Carson, IV, At-large Representative Frank Carson, IV, is the President & CEO of Carson Bank in Mulvane, where he has been employed since 2004. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Kansas State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison. Carson is also a graduate of the Bank Leaders of Kansas (BLOK) program. Carson has been active in the KBA through membership on the PAC Committee and State Affairs Committee. He served as the President of KBA’s Young Bank Officer Division (YBOK) in 2012. He has served the greater banking community through his service as chairman on the banker advisory board for the Graduate School of Banking in Madison and as a representative on the board of trustees for the Graduate School of Banking in Madison. Frank and his wife, Kourtney, live in Mulvane and have three children, Frank V, Henry, and Elizabeth (Kit). In his free time, Carson enjoys K-State sporting events and outdoor activities such as fishing. Martha Linsner, KBA Trust Division President Martha Linsner serves as the President and Director of Marketing for The Trust Company of Kansas, where she has worked since 1994. She had prior employment at INTRUST Bank, N.A. from 1990-1994, and worked at Bank IV (Bank of America) 1986-1990. Linsner earned a Bachelor’s degree in Total Quality Management from Friends University in Wichita. She is also a graduate of ABA National Graduate Trust School and earned the designation as Certified Trust & Financial Advisor. She has also attended the Schools of Banking programs for Banking Fundamentals and Trust and Financial Planning. Linsner has been active with the KBA with service on the Education & HR Committee, Federal Affairs Committee and State Affairs Committee. She is serving her community by sitting on the Advisory Council for the Kansas 529 Learning Quest Savings Plan. Martha and her husband, Jeff, live in Wichita and have three adult children, Jennifer (husband Jon), Julie (husband Allan), and Kyle. They have three grandchildren; Matthew, Lauren and Katelyn. Tyson Oakes, KBA Young Bank Officers of Kansas Division President Tyson Oakes serves as Vice President at FirstOak Bank in Independence, where he has been employed since 2007. He was previously employed in the consumer loan department for Kaw Valley Bank in Topeka. Oakes earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Emporia State University and he is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison. He is currently attending the Executive Development Institute program at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Oakes has been active in the KBA by serving on the board for the Young Bank Officers of Kansas (YBOK) and he is currently serving as the division president. He is active in his community with service on the board for the Chamber of Commerce in Independence and on the board for the Friends of Riverside Park and Zoo (FORPAZ). Tyson and his wife, Shannon reside in Independence, Kansas and have three young children: Bryson, Brynlon, and Kannon. Michael Waldman, KBA-Kansas Ag Bankers Division President Mike Waldman serves as Executive Vice President at Community National Bank & Trust in Iola, where he has been employed since 2006. Prior to that he was an ag loan officer at Western State Bank in Garden City. Waldman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from Fort Hays State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. He has been actively involved in KBA through his service on the KBA Kansas Ag Bankers (KAB) board. Mike and his wife Susan reside in Iola and have two sons: Andrew and Jeremy. Waldman enjoys golf, WWII history, BBQ smoking and KU sports in his free time.
