His ascension from custodian to Chairman of the Board began as a young boy is certainly an uncommon path, but made possible through perseverance and extreme loyalty. Except for a two-year stint in the military service, he went to work in the same building of this unit bank at the corner of Main and First Street in Cunningham for all those years. He served on KBA committees during his tenure, and countless local and regional committees as community banking leaders in small communities generally do. The community celebrated his long banking career, and contributions to the bank and the community, with a reception at the bank on June 30, 2018. He remains a member of the Board of Directors.
