Other highlights of this year’s KBA Federal Affairs Committee’s March on Washington included a special reception hosted on the rooftop overlook of the Promontory Interfinancial Network. The reception provided a great opportunity for members of KBA’s Federal Affairs Committee and the 2018 Bank Leaders of Kansas (BLOK) class to get acquainted before the busy week ahead. Kansas bankers and their spouses that attended this year’s Washington, D.C. trip were also treated to a special night tour of the U.S. Capitol provided by Congressman Roger Marshall (R-1st District). The Capitol tour culminated on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives with an informative question and answer session with Congressman Marshall. The productive week ended with a reception for members and staff of the Kansas Congressional Delegation.
