Immediately following dinner, Doug Wareham honored Herb Iams, President of KBA Insurance, and his wife, Becky Iams, EVP of KBA Insurance as they prepare to retire this December. The evening’s entertainment was “The Two of Us” dueling guitars, which featured much audience participation, laughter, singing, and dancing. Saturday morning it was back to the business at hand as the golf awards were given out during breakfast. Following this, the annual business meeting was held, which included election of officers. Your 2019-2020 KBA elected officers are: Chairman Kurt Knutson, Freedom Bank, Overland Park; Chairman-Elect Jonathon Johnson, Home Savings Bank, Chanute; Vice Chairman Mike Ewy, Community State Bank, Coffeyville; and Past Chairman Chris Donnelly, Bank of the Prairie, Olathe. Senator Jerry Moran addressed the group and gave a Washington Update, and the conference concluded with Dan Shaffer speaking on the topic of, “Connecting the Dots in a World of Uncertainty”.
