He held positions at various banks, and after 20 years and the imminent sale of the bank, Dean decided to retire from First National Bank of Winfield, now CornerBank. A friend from college learned of his retirement plans and immediately asked if Dean would like to help start up a Trust department with the young Community National Bank. Trust services were added in 2010, and the name of the bank was changed to Community National Bank & Trust. Dean built a team of experienced Trust professionals and grew CNB&T’s Trust Department from a startup to nearly $160 million in assets with services throughout Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Today, Dean continues the work that he loves at CNB&T.
