Tajchman, age 50, of Manhattan, died Feb. 29, 2020, at the University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City. He was born Oct. 9, 1969, in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Marcel and Barbara (Holub) Tajchman. Brad graduated from McPherson High School in 1988, and then attended and played baseball at Pratt Community College and graduated from Kansas State University with his degree in Ag. Business. He worked at Osborne Farmer’s Bank in Osborne as a vice president, and then for First Kansas Bank in Hoisington for 10 years as senior vice president, before moving to Manhattan in 2013 to be the president of ESB Financial. Remembering Jane Schnellbacher Jane S. Schnellbacher, 89, Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020. Jane was born Oct. 2,1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Martin and Alma Neubauer Schneider. She graduated from Mount Notre Dame Academy and attended Our Lady of Cincinnati College. Jane was a highly accomplished businesswoman. She had a 21-year career with Capital City Bank serving in several capacities including vice president. Governors Joan Finney and Kathleen Sebelius appointed Jane to the Commission on Housing and Homelessness and the Kansas Banking Board.
