Thomas N. (Tony) Frederick
July 14, 1933 – October 10, 2022

Thomas N. Frederick, 89, entered the presence of the Lord Oct. 10, 2022. He was born July 14, 1933, in Alden, the son of Guy “Ham” and Grace (Belden). Tom graduated from Alden High School in 1951 and continued his education at Kansas State University. He graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics in 1956. Tom was united in marriage to Shirley (Moran) on Sept. 30, 1956, in Sylvia. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. He joined the army in 1956 and was active for six years. Tom and Shirley moved to Heilbronn,
Germany, for two years while serving at the U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart. Upon returning from Germany, Tom worked at the Alden State Bank for over 61 years.

Lawrence L. “Larry” Jordan
December 21, 1934 – November 3, 2022

Larry graduated from high school in Carroll, Nebraska, in 1952. In 1954, he joined the United States Army and served for two years. Following the military, Larry earned his degree from the University of Nebraska. He worked in banking for 49 years in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Larry worked for First National Bank in Hutchinson for 31 years before his retirement on
Feb. 19, 2005. He was a recognized collector of toy farm equipment and was featured in publications. Larry was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson. On Jan. 3, 1974, he married Jeane Woodall in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They shared 48 years together. Larry is survived by his wife, Jeane Jordan, Hutchinson; daughters, Julie, Union Star, Missouri, and Sheri, Olympia, Washington; granddaughter, Abby, Olympia, Washington; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard and Robert Jordan.

Wilma D. Elliott
September 19, 1936 – November 1, 2022

Wilma was born on Sept. 19, 1936, in Hearst, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of William and Vida (Perry) Evans. She
grew up and attended school in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen on Nov. 15, 1963.

She married Robert L. Scott Oct. 8, 1954,
at Sioux Lookout. They moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in December 1954 and to Parsons in January 1956 upon Robert’s discharge from the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Scott preceded her in death on
May 11, 1986. Wilma married Gerald W. Elliott on Jan. 8, 1992, in Parsons. Gerald preceded her in death on March 12, 2011.

Wilma was employed for nearly 30 years at the State Bank of Parsons. She began her banking career as a proof operator in 1956. When the State Bank sold in October 1985, Wilma was vice president and trust officer.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Parsons. She was also a member of the SEK Group of National Association of Bank Women, serving as treasurer, secretary, vice chairman and chairman. She also served as state education and training chairman for the national group. Wilma served as treasurer from 1968 to 1975 for the Labette County chapter of the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the board of directors for the Labette County chapter of the American Red Cross from 1980 to 1984, serving as treasurer for part of that time. Wilma was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Parsons, serving on the Stewardship Committee for many years, the Diaconate Board and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. Her hobbies included decorative painting, crocheting, knitting, counted cross stitch, gardening and computers.
